Oldstone Conservation is delighted to complete works to the Yeats Memorial in St Stephens Green.
The W.B. Yeats Memorial is located within a terraced area that forms an amphitheatre within the park. It is a place for quiet contemplation or theatre, reflecting Yeats’ work as a poet & playwright or simply for people to gather. The sculpture, “Knife Edge” by Henry Moore, is located here and the monument was officially opened by the then Taoiseach, Mr. Jack Lynch on 26 October 1967.
Oldstone acted as Main Contractor & PSCS for the works which consisted of repairs to the stone paving and walls, the repair and fitting of new railings and the cleaning of the bronze sculpture & plaque.
